Section 1: General Rules
These rules are basic and should be followed on all pages, with no exceptions.
1.1: Language Rules
- Always abide by the grammatical rules.
- Make the information as clear and concise as possible.
- Keep the wording formal. Avoid using colloquial or informal language.
- Editors must refrain from including any personal thoughts about any topic to pages. Wiki pages are meant to document information in an unbiased manner for the reader.
- Always refer to the player as "the player". The use of "you" in pages will be considered informal, which is against the aforementioned rule.
- Always use the American spelling of words such as "color", "favor", etc. This is not up for debate.
- Mentions of outside media, such as movies or video games, should be italicised, unless the mention contains a link.
1.2: Technical Formatting Rules
- Pages must always be hyperlinked when mentioned.
- Generally speaking, hyperlinks should not be bolded or italicised.
- Any instance of the page title must be bolded (e.g. Coal must be bolded every time it appears on the Coal page).
- References (<ref>Text</ref>) can be used practically anywhere to note information that cannot be fit anywhere else.
- When any references are used in pages, add a Notes header at the bottom of the page (above Navboxes) with a reference list (<references/>) under it. This ensures the reference list does not awkwardly lie underneath the page's Navboxes, and have a header dedicated to them for clarity.
- Above any page's Navbox(es) should be two empty lines to create a clear distinction between them and the rest of the page; Navboxes are always at the bottom of the page.
- Ensure there are no empty lines between the end of an Infobox and the start of the page's main text.
Section 2: Proper Page Formatting (Ores)
2.1: Infobox Rules
Ore pages must always have the "{{OreNew}}" infobox template filled with any necessary rows. Below is a list of specifications to follow when inserting this template.
- In the title, most ores should have their names colored using the ore's hex code with the {{Colour}} template (for example, {{Colour|AAAAAA|Ore}} is shown as Ore.
- For ores with multiple distinct colors in their design, or higher tier ores, a color gradient may be more fitting. The {{Colour}} template cannot be used for these instances.
- Ores with a very dark color (like black) should also receive a gradient or outline to improve visibility.
- This should only be present in the title of the infobox and nowhere else on the page.

- When adding Images to infoboxes, use a properly taken photo of the ore variant(s) (specifications denoted below). If there is no existing image for a variant, use the Placeholder.png image instead.
- The ore must be the centerpiece of the photo. The photo must not be out of focus from the ore or include any unnecessary details, such as players.
- The background must not be distracting from the ore, nor should it obstruct any visual effects (particles, beams, etc.)
- Photos must always be taken on a sufficiently dark background. The only exception is for ores with dark visual effects, in which case a bright background is necessary.
- Flat gray backgrounds are acceptable for both bright and dark ores.
- For ores with multiple moving parts, flashing effects, or color-changing effects, a GIF is necessary.
- When adding Tiers to infoboxes, use the dedicated tier templates. To add a template, add "{{TierName}}" to the "tier" section. There are templates for every tier in the game. The Layer tier is formatted as {{LayerTier}}.
- If the ore is a Surreal tier or higher, add Trackers using the {{OreTracker}} template. Below is an example:

- If the ore is a Surreal tier or higher, add Trackers using the {{OreTracker}} template. Below is an example:
- When adding Creators, only include what is displayed in the in-game ore index. If the creator is unknown, simply add "Unknown" to it.
- If you know the creator of an ore but the ore index displays "Unknown", you may add the ore creator regardless.
- Make sure to add all three variant rarities (Normal, Ionized, and Spectral) to the infobox. Refer to the multipliers here.
- For a cave exclusive ore's adjusted rarities, multiply its base variant rarity by the rarity of the cave type where it spawns. Do not make use of "cave constants" for adjusted rarities. This is non-negotiable[1].
- For cave exclusive ores that can spawn in any cave, regardless of its type, do not include adjusted rarities.

- When adding Music, send a link to either the Roblox library asset or (preferably) the original artist's link, if any (YouTube, Soundcloud, Spotify, etc.) Also make sure to point out any modifications done to the audio (e.g. "0.9x speed").
- If the ore's music is unknown, add "Unknown".
- If the ore has no music at all, do not include the Music section.
- For the ore's Sell Value use {{Money|SellValue}}. For most cases, an ore's Sell Value is base rarity divided by 5,000 and rounded up to the hundredths (90,000,000/5,000, for example).
- For Colors, use a color picker application or webpage and try to choose a color as similar to the ore's TEXT color as possible (such as the text color in the inventory).
- Add the Description EXACTLY how it is in-game.
- If there is no description ("No description found."), then do not add it.
2.2: Section Rules
- Mentions of an ore's rarity, across all sections, should be bolded (e.g. 1 in 5,000, 150,000,000).
- Ores that are used for craftables, such as Pickaxes and/or Gears, must include a Usage section with a table of the ore's uses throughout the game. Otherwise, include "It currently has no use in the game." at the end of the Introduction.
- The table generally should not be sortable and not have a header as there is little reason for it.
- The table should use the {{Icon}} template. {{Icon|Jump Coil}} displays as
Jump Coil.
- If the requirement specifies an ore variant (ionized or spectral), color the number accordingly with the {{Colour}} template.
- The Introduction must be kept short and simple. It is an introduction, after all.
- The First Finders section should denote first finds of the ore. Make use of the {{FirstFinder}} template; it is used by including the variant of the ore and the player's username (for example, {{FirstFinder|Ionized|Username}}).
- Only mention global-worthy finds;
- Layer – Exquisite: N/A
- Transcendent: Spectral
- Enigmatic: Ionized, Spectral
- Unfathomable, Otherworldly, Zenith: All Variants
- The usernames mentioned in the First Finders section must be hyperlinked with their Roblox accounts.
- If the variant of an ore has not been found yet, do not include it. It will be found eventually.
- Only mention global-worthy finds;
- The Trivia section contains notable facts about the ore. Leave the section empty if there is nothing notable about the ore.
- Any Appearance sections are unnecessary.
- Add History sections on all ore pages, even if the ore has little to no history. Make sure to include any changes on the ore's rarity, spawn location, bug fixes, or any other significant events related to the ore.
- If you are knowledgeable about the ore's history (i.e. specific changes it has received in certain updates), create an Update History section at the bottom of the page, listing the changes in a more structured format (see below for an example). Additionally, include the {{UpdateHistory}} template by the regular History section. If the update history is particularly long, make use of the {{Scroll}} template.
- If the ore has received any revamps in the past, its older appearances should be included in a Gallery section, with ionized and spectral variants if possible. The creator and version should be listed with a bullet point above the images.
- This also includes other appearances of the ore; in official promotional images or thumbnails, bugged versions of the ore that have been in-game, and so on.
- At the very bottom of the page, there should always be a navigation box corresponding to the ore's world. The list of navboxes is as follows:

2.3: Miscellaneous Rules
- Include templates like "Unfinished", "Unobtainable", or "Limited" to pages when needed.
- Also include {{LimitedTime}} template if the ore is limited to a specific timeframe. Usage example: {{LimitedTime|month=March|day=11|year=2025|h=20|m=00|s=00|type=GMT}} (GMT is the timezone that is used for FANDOM).
- Add the page to any necessary Categories. You can do this by scrolling to the bottom of a page and opening the Categories tab. When using the source editor, include these at the end of the page. Categories will automatically appear at the start and the end of a page.
- Adjusted Rarities must be used exclusively in the Cave Exclusive and Cave Exclusive Ore pages (such as Tektite, Intoxium, Hyperheated Quasar, etc.)
2.4: Standard Page Format
Below is an example of the ore page format in action. Note that pages do not need to follow this format word for word; it can be modified to fit any known information about the ore.
Introduction
Mineral is a Common tier ore created by an unknown creator and revamped by an unknown creator. It has a 1 in 109 chance to spawn in multiple layers in World 1 and the Moon Stone Layer in Subworld 1. It also has a 1 in 20 chance of spawning in Frozen Caves. Mineral is used for the Placeholder Pickaxe and the Template Gear.
History
- For a more detailed history of the ore, check the ore's Update History at the bottom of the page.
Mineral was added upon REx: Reincarnated's release to the Stone Layer with a rarity of 1 in 50. About a month and a half after release, an update added Mineral to the Basalt Layer, the Granite Layer and the Diorite Layer. However, this update caused Mineral to have bugged visuals, which were then fixed a day later. Soon, Mineral was added upon the release of Subworld 1 to the Moon Stone Layer and its rarity was increased to 1 in 109. It received a revamp a month later.

Section 3: Proper Page Formatting (Tools)
For future reference, the use of the word "tool" or "tools" refers to both pickaxes and gears.
3.1: Infobox Rules
Pickaxe pages must use the {{Pickaxe}} infobox template, and Gear pages must use the {{Gear}} infobox template, both filled up with all the requested information, if available.
- When adding Images to infoboxes, use both the Shop icon as well as a properly taken photo of the pickaxe or gear (specifications down below). If there is no existing image for either of these, use the Placeholder.png image instead.
- The tool must be the centerpiece of the photo. The photo must not be out of focus from the tool or include any unnecessary details, such as players (aside from the one holding the tool.)
- The background must not be distracting from the tool, nor should it obstruct any visual effects (particles, beams, etc.)
- Photos must always be taken at graphics levels of 8 or higher (if using Bloxstrap, 15 or higher.)
- The Power Rating of a tool is also known as its Tier.
- When adding Abilities, write their descriptions EXACTLY how they appear in-game.
- If the description has a spelling mistake, include an asterisk (*) next to it.
- For ability stats, include the icon and the corresponding numbers EXACTLY how they appear in-game. For example,

- There is a certain Template used for Abilties: {{Stats|Speed/Jump/Area/Luck/Rate/Health/Lifespan/Amount|CertainNumberHere}}
- Use {{Money|ToolsCost}} when mentioning the Cost of the tool.
- Add the Description EXACTLY how it is in-game.
3.2: Section Rules
Tool pages must not indicate nor recommend the player to craft a specific tool over another, nor recommend them how to progress through the game. It is ultimately the player's choice how they decide to progress.
- The first paragraph of the Introduction should describe the world in which the tool can be crafted, as well as include a short review of the tool's abilities. Further paragraphs must describe its effectiveness and crafting difficulty compared to other tools of its tier, as well as tools of adjacent tiers.
- Always include a History section denoting any and all changes done to a tool, even if the tool received minimal changes.
- Like with ores, an Update History section at the bottom of the page listing changes is ideal. However, specific changes to recipes or function should be reserved for separate history pages, elaborated below:
- Due to tools having potentially a wide, varied history (such as functional reworks or large recipe alterations), they often warrant a separate subpage to document their history. This is a new development on the wiki; the only complete instance of such a page is Core Frag/History. In such cases, the {{ToolNav}} template and {{ToolHistory}} templates are used on the main page to link to the history subpage.
- Like with ores, an Update History section at the bottom of the page listing changes is ideal. However, specific changes to recipes or function should be reserved for separate history pages, elaborated below:
- The Recipe section must contain a table with all of the tool's crafting components, their rarity and tier, and must be sorted ascendingly by quantity. Ore pages must be linked.
- For ore tiers, use the {{Colour|TierHere}} template.
- Recipes should be split into two categories; Basic and Advanced. Basic lists all ore requirements in a single neat table, while Advanced splits them up into layers/caves, and mentions all other methods of obtaining the ore from other sources, such as transformations, in the form of references.
- If the tool has any skins, add a Skins section and use the {{SkinGallery}} and {{Skin}} templates in conjunction. Visit the Prism of Chaos page for an example.
- Include a Trivia section only if the tool has any additional, notable facts. Otherwise, do not include a Trivia section.
- Pages must include a Gallery section with GIF recordings of the tool's abilities in action.
- At the bottom of the page, either the {{PickaxeNavBox}} or {{GearNavBox}} navigation boxes should be used.
3.3: Miscellaneous Rules
- Include templates like "Unfinished", "Unobtainable", or "Limited" to pages when needed.

Introduction
Placeholder Destroyer is a tier 5 explosive Gear that can be crafted in Subworld 1. While mining, it can drop a nuke that immediately explodes when coming in contact with a block, destroying blocks in a massive radius but with a hefty penalty of 0.4x luck.
The Placeholder Destroyer is an extremely powerful explosive for mining blocks, however its massive luck penalty gives it a major drawback compared to other tier 5 explosives, especially for obtaining Exotic tier and above ores.

Notes
- ↑ Cave constants are heavily variable on a multitude of factors, such as the cave generation algorithm and the tools used for mining, making them an unreliable piece of information for estimating the general chances of cave exclusive ores. These values lie within the open interval (1.88, 5), in other words, cave constants can take on any numerical value greater than 1.88 and less than 5. For an individual case where a player uses a specific setup, the use of a cave constant unique to that setup may prove useful. However this is not the case for adjusted rarities on the Wiki, as there is no such thing as a "general setup" that is applicable to all players.
