Introduction
The NilAxe is a Tier 6 Pickaxe and is currently the last pickaxe available in Subworld 1.
The NilAxe is very powerful at mining both common and rare ores, comparable to the Trinity Claymore. However, unlike the claymore, the NilAxe is more oriented towards passive, AFK mining, lacking any manual-activation abilities. Additionally, its Ore Clearing ability automatically mines common ores, which makes looking out for desired common ores unnecessary. Its Rare Tracking ability also acts as a substitute for the Cybernetium Radar.
The recipe for this pickaxe requires many common and rare ores which cannot be obtained through Transformations or Fissions which might make it harder to obtain compared to the other Tier 6 pickaxes, those being the 57 Leaf Clover and the Trinity Claymore.
Overall, the NilAxe is strong at general use while AFK mining and is a very viable choice for a Tier 6 pickaxe.

Trivia
- Upon release, this pickaxe was originally Tier 7. It was moved down to Tier 6 after a significant nerf.
- The description for this pickaxe was originally "the thing".
- This pickaxe is one of three in the game to have a unique interaction with proc rate boosts, with the other two being Poison Pick and Darkstone Pick. The orb count of Octorb actually scales with all forms of proc rate, rounding up to the next integer. For example, 5% proc rate sets Octorb to "8.4" orbs, which rounds up to 9.
- This in itself caused a misconception with Elementonic, in which people assumed the differing orb count to be the result of a special ability the gear had, rather than the proc rate buff and debuff provided by the gear.
