Introduction
Seasonal Events were updates in which temporary content was added to the game, usually in theme of a real-life holiday or event. Seasonal Events added new ores, gears, pickaxes, and sometimes new mechanics as seen with the Frost Layer from the 2022 Winter Event. Ores from these events were very valuable as most of them ended up unobtainable since their respective events.
During the 2024 Summer Event, it was decided that seasonal events would no longer occur in the traditional way, instead having permanent updates themed around their respective events, starting with the 2024 Halloween Update in Aesteria.
Introduction
The 2022 Halloween Event was the first ever seasonal event in REx: Reincarnated which began on October 29th, 2022 and ended on November 20th 2022. It added 8 new limited time ores, all being of Exotic or higher except for Chocolatine, and a new limited time gear, the Phantasm Lantern.

Trivia
- For 30 hours, all ores except Chocolatine returned to their original places in Part 2.5 of the 2023 Halloween Event.
- These ores have returned again for the 2024 Summer Event, including Chocolatine, where it could be found in the Spookstone Layer. The event's gear, Phantasm Lantern, became craftable again with a buffed recipe to be fit for Tier 7.

Introduction
The 2022 Winter Event was a seasonal event that began on December 18th, 2022 and ended on January 29th, 2023. It was divided into two parts. Part 1 which added 29 new ores, a new layer/mechanic, and three new gears, all of which were available for the length of the event. Part 2 included a new Enigmatic ore, Aurora Polaris, as well as a new limited tier 6 pickaxe, the Christmas Crusher. Part 2 also added extra layers for some of the layer exclusive ores, making them much easier to find.
Frost Layer
The Frost Layer is the only new layer that was added in World 1 upon the release of the 2022 Winter Event. It introduced a new mechanic where a random layer turns into frost until the mine resets, and then another layer gets picked, similarly like the Zanarchium layer. Unlike the 2022 Halloween Event where the ores are spread out into other layers, all the ores are in the Frost Layer instead. Some ores have specific spawn conditions, where they only spawn in certain layers.

Introduction
The 2023 Valentines Event was a Seasonal Event that began on February 14th, 2023, and ended on March 2nd, 2023, though the Heartbreaker remained craftable for an extra month after. This event added 5 new ores and one new gear. All of the ores in this event spawned in any layer in any world.

Introduction
The 2023 April Fools Event was a Seasonal Event that was only active during April 1st, 2023. This event is themed after Fanta, a carbonated soft drink characterized for its many fruit-like flavors, most notably its orange flavor. This event featured only 2 ores, marking the lowest amount of ores to be featured in a seasonal event.
Trivia
- The developers announced an addition of a Limited Time pickaxe - Fool's Glass Pickaxe. The way to "obtain" it required going through many puzzles, finding many specific ores in specific orders. A bit after the announcement, the developers provided players with 2 images as a hint to start with - Glass and Inktite. Players spent hours trying to solve this puzzle, but it ultimately led to nothing. The pickaxe, along with Fantamalgamation, was given away by the developers.

Introduction
The 2023 Halloween Event which was set public in October 14th, 2023, was an seasonal event which consisted of Parts 1, 2 and 2.5. Each part carried an amount of ores with them, Part 1 having the most, and Part 2 with less ores but with 2 new gears. However 2.5 was the one most loved by the players, as it brought back ores from the previous year's halloween event.

Introduction
The 2023 Winter Event is a Seasonal Event that started on December 28th, 2023, but was closed the same day due to many bugs. It was then reopened the next day and eventually ended on February 4, 2024. It added a new world, Wintera Isle, containing two layers: the Frost Layer and Jollystone Layer. The event also had a fireplace feature that increased your luck depending on the amount of event ores you input into it. When Part 2 was released, it added two new ores to the Jollystone Layer and some pickaxe skins.

Fireplace bugs
- Infinite luck being obtainable by typing "NaN" into the menu, causing the player to have NaN of that ore, then typing large values into the menu. This caused the game to be temporarily privated.[32][33][34]
- The Fireplace failing to function; it claims that the player does not have enough of the chosen ore, no matter if they actually do. (fixed?)
- Fireplace luck going down in an unintended way.[35]

Introduction
The 2024 Summer Event is an event that started on July 13, 2024. It added a new world called Aesteria, containing 9 layers: The Spookstone Layer, Frost Layer[1], Affement Layer, Withered Sand Layer, Hexafite Layer, Deepfrost Layer, Jollystone Layer, Maculite Layer, and the Surmilum Layer. These layers contains ores from past events, with each layer being part of 1 event. The 2024 Summer Event also contains old event gears and Christmas Crusher, along with 3 new gears: Lustrous Ribbon, Witch's Brew, and Love Letter. Some recipes for some gears have received a rebalance to fit their tiers.
History
Part 2 of the event introduced the new Paradise Parasol, along with 2 new layers (Maculite and Surmilum) containing 16 new exotic+ ores, and rebalances to some gears with recipes and abilities. Many ores were removed and replaced with new ores, and many ores outside Aesteria were revamped.
